Natasha
Position:
Nursery Owner | Supporting Manager
About Me:
I have over 25 years’ experience in childcare, first starting as a Nursery practitioner, then as a Deputy Manager and finally a manager working for two of the largest nursery groups in the UK. I have also worked in the NHS with babies and their mothers who were suffering with severe mental health conditions, so have completed training in many areas of mental health, as well as newborn experience, including premature babies. I have always loved working with children as no two days are the same, and children have a way to make you smile so much, even on a tough day. It is a privilege to teach a child something new and watch them grow and develop until they are ready for school.
I love working and owning Monkey Puzzle Astwick and I am so excited to now be opening my second nursery in my own community in Stevenage, as its always been a dream of mine to own my own nursery and I still can’t quite believe it’s finally happened and I will now have two. I have built and grown a team of over 40 staff at Astwick and now have an amazing manager so am able to focus on building Stevenage and making it just as amazing. It’s no longer a job – it’s a passion, and I have absolutely loved putting my heart and soul into making my nursery such a beautiful place (even if I do say so myself 😉). I also love the location on Church Farm; it’s such an amazing environment for the children and my staff team, and so when I saw the beautiful garden in Stevenage, with the woods out of a back gate, I knew I had found an amazing site to be able to offer local children the opportunity to explore nature and create what I am most passionate about within early years, a chance to have adventures whilst learning.
On a personal note, I spend most of my free time with my own three boys and my husband, going on family days’ out or socialising with family, friends and their children. I love travelling the World when I get a spare week or two and have visited many amazing places in the World, although not quite as far flung and exotic now with three boys in tow! As a mother myself, I completely get the unconditional love we have for our children and wanting to ensure you child is safe, happy and getting the love and opportunities to thrive, and so i always want to ensure I am offering this to our families, and supporting them in their nursery journey.
