Our Vision and Ethos – A Home From Home With Adventures
At Stevenage we place families at the heart of childcare. We provide a safe and secure environment where children can thrive. We believe in giving our children the best possible start in life, fostering resilience, confidence, and happiness, enabling them to achieve great things.
We love the great outdoors! Wellies are a must!
Our expansive garden invites exploration and engagement with the wonders of the outside world. We embrace the experience of nature and the excitement of the changing seasons, encouraging children to play freely in the natural environment. We aim for every child to jump in puddles, make mud pies, dig in the sand, and climb the grassy hill during their time with us. Together, we will explore the great outdoors!
Children learn best through exploration. It is essential for them to learn independently, driven by their interests and choices. This builds vital skills for navigating the world. Our child-centred approach ensures that each child’s unique needs and preferences guide their learning journey. We foster awe and wonder by nurturing each child’s curiosity, creating personalised learning experiences that allow them to build knowledge in their own way.
We integrate early literacy and math into all aspects of our activities, encouraging children to explore language and numbers through play. From counting during outdoor adventures to storytelling sessions that spark imagination, we ensure that foundational skills are woven into everyday experiences. This approach helps children develop critical thinking and problem-solving abilities in a fun and engaging manner.
Family is at the core of everything we do. We work diligently to cultivate strong relationships where children feel loved and cared for. Our commitment to support extends to families; we believe that actions speak louder than words. You will always receive a warm welcome, and we strive to ensure that happy, excited children come running in.
Our well-equipped staff team shares our values and prioritises the needs of the children. They consistently go the extra mile to ensure a nurturing environment.
Our mission is to provide the highest quality of care and education, centred around the child. We adopt a holistic approach, recognising each child as an individual. We celebrate the uniqueness of every child, focusing on their creativity and fostering independence and decision-making through play-based learning.
In our caring environment, we promote all areas of development while ensuring that learning is fun. We believe that a love of learning is the foundation for a child’s lifelong journey.
When life gives you a rainy day, play in the puddles

Our Aspirations
As a new nursery, we are continuously looking for ways to improve and evolve. With Astwick Monkey Puzzle as my first nursery, I have discovered and learnt what works well, and now I am so excited to have a second nursery in my own community. I will never stop working to achieve the best and welcome our team and our family’s ideas and suggestions.
