Nursery Practitioner & SENCO

My name is Carrie and I am the Secondary SENCO at Monkey Puzzle, as well as a practitioner in the Oaks Preschool Room. I hold a Paediatric First Aid certificate, a Level 3 qualification in Childcare and SENDCO, I’m also hoping to start a level 4 in childcare soon!

I have worked in Early Years since April 2018, joining Monkey Puzzle in July 2025. Since joining Monkey Puzzle, I have had the pleasure of meeting the team and becoming part of such a warm and welcoming environment.

I have always had a strong interest in SEND and am passionate about ensuring every child is given the opportunity to thrive and have their individual needs met. I love watching children grow in confidence, develop new skills and prepare for their next stages in education. I also have experience leading Forest School sessions and strongly value outdoor play, supporting children to explore and learn more about the world around them.

A fun fact about me is that I’ve always been known for my crazy curly hair ever since I was little!
