At our Monkey Puzzle Day Nursery and Preschool in Stevenage, We like to keep things as simple as possible. This helps provide predictability and stability for families by avoiding confusing multi-tier fee structures and hidden costs. Charges are always for the month in advance and you will be invoiced monthly through our convenient ‘paperless’ system through the Famly app.
From 1st November 2024, our new fees will be as follows:

*Full time rates continue to attract a discount of 5 weeks per annum which is a c.£2,300 saving over our standard rates. We also offer further discounts as detailed below and we accept all forms of childcare vouchers and government tax-free childcare payments to help parents access lower fees. We will offer all 2-year-olds the 15-hour funding, providing enough parents are happy to agree to the consumable charges, which will be charged in a similar way to the meals were previously – see funding letter for more details.

Full time hours: 7:30am – 6:30pm |Half day hours: 7.30am-1pm or 1pm -6.30pm
Minimum attendance: 3 sessions over two days
Funded places are limited/based on availability and must be agreed with management each term.
Meals/ sun cream/nappies/wipes/extracurricular classes and some activity resources are not included in the funding we receive for children, the cost for these are listed in our funding facts pack.
We reserve the right to charge a late payment admin fee to those parents who do not pay their fees by the 1st of each month.
No refunds will be given for sickness or holidays taken.
Fees reviewed annually.
Funding is allocated on full day first, and we reserve the right to give 2 months’ notice of any changes to funding availability / meal / consumable charge changes. Funded places are not guaranteed for more than a term at a time and are subject to codes being renewed and valid. This is the parent’s responsibility, and any money not received from funding due to invalid codes will need to be paid by the parents in full.
Our normal terms and conditions remain unchanged.
*Full time discount applied – 5 weeks per annum.
We also offer the following incentives:
- NHS discount: 5% discount (recent NHS payslip required – please note Blue Light badges are not accepted)
- Sibling discount (older child only): 10% discount
- Full time discount: 5 weeks per year – Up to £2,050* discount per annum
- All other sessions charged on a 51-week basis instead of 52 weeks, unlike other nurseries
- Government tax-free childcare payments accepted and all childcare vouchers
